  1. That’s silly.

I find that I don’t like your school’s system, it’s too befuddling. How do parents maange to get everything on time?

Ah, Google Translate is good for English > Spanish, not the other way round. You see, Spanish as a language can drop de pronouns (I, you, she) and still be perfectly understood, so there are a lot of sentences where the subject is only implied (especially in books). Now, that in and of itself isn’t bad, but there are many verb forms that resemble one another (for instance, —first person singular simple present of indicative mood of verb ‘to know’— and —third person singular of imperative mood of verb ‘to be’—). A human being has context to determine that stuff, because our brains think in terms of languge so once we know one we can ‘follow it’, but machines fizzle out when you present them partucularly complex sentences becuase they lose track of who’s saying or doing what.
  2. I remember when hko had similar issues years ago, but this is ridiculous.

The login server is still acting up, yet tech support takes awhile to respond.

  6. Yes, but there is such thing as bogging down the story with details. Oh, well. What matters is that people read us, I suppose?

And that's terrible organization on your school's part. Getting supply lists on inscription day is standard practice here, even for public schools, and everyone b1tches about those.

Oh, may I get a link someday?

(You know, I reaklly wish you knew Spanish so I could hand to you my best writing).
  7. I noticed. You are like Hemingway's more tight-lipped cousin I figure it would be impossible, too, but it can't hurt to try. I don't know, to me it's like these characters, these scenarios are so lifelike it feels like a shame for people to not picture them just like I did... I just wnat them to et inside my head as much as possible. Same with the music in my head, too bad I suck at music!
  8. Yes, we get supply lists, but we are given those on inscription day, so at least a month before class starts you can start buying supplies. My mum did one big shopping trip after window shopping before getting the supplies lists, and we were all set for school about two weeks before school started. A lot of supplies are non-essential, though, like school paint supplies, so I leave them at home. But most books and all of the notebooks, I brought with myself on the first day, and left them. The schedules would be taped to the classroom door and pinned to a corkboard besides the whiteboard, and it was our responsibility to jot them down on our own free time.
  9. All the morning just for that? I just threw all the books and a lock on the first day of classes, and left them there. I would find out what our schedule was, and then leave all hte stuff I didn't need. In my Panamanian school we started classes straightaway, so we had homework from the first day.

I have troubles sometimes with the middle of a story, but not so much with the ending or beginning. I suppose that's how I manage to write so much. It's like I have this film of the story in my head, and I just write it out. In fact, my mental images are so vivid, I am at fault of writing in too much detail because I want the readers to picture something just like I do It's one of the reasons my stories go on for so long. Remember the 25k fanfic? Probably more than 50% of that are just descriptions. Although my readers say I'm enganging, so it makes it all right, I guess...
  10. Huh. That actually sounds kind of cool. So, you're almost done!

    Ever think of publishing?

Biography
Hello! ^^ I'm Anastasia but you can call me Ana or Ana-chan. I started playing HKO in 2010, and started hanging out on SanrioTown sometime later. I have a blog here (blog.hellokitty.com/anastasiakiwi10) where I talk about my adventures in Hello Kitty Online. :) On International I'm Ichigogo, and on US/Canada I'm AnastasiaKiwi10. On US/Canada I'm leader of the Magical Pets guild. If you want to know more about me you might as well check out my blog here because it's got an About Me page and stuff...
I also run Mystery Place offline events here at the forum, so check out my thread. And I will hunt down pet cards for you! ^.^ More details about that are on my blog as well. I'm still fairly active in HKO, but not nearly as much as I used to be, because I'm in high school now so I'm very busy. You will still see me very often on SanrioTown though! I hope we can become friends, because like Hello Kitty says, you can never have too many! ♥
