It just means you still have some patching to do. ^^
Try opening the updater again, and then instead of pressing Start Game, press Patch Now and let the updates finish.

But yep, all you had to do was patch, I had the problem too when I first started out. ^__^

You either have to keep patching or change the size of the screen to a smaller size, that's what I did when I got that message when I first played HKO.
