It really depends on the skin type of the user. Some people I know say that Proactiv is an effective product as long as you keep using the product. Also, according to them, if you stop using it, your skin problems will come back... or it will become worse than before.

The best suggestion is to see a dermatologist and have your skin tested. Specialists will recommend the most suitable medications for you based on your findings/results.

Oh, I use proactive. It is safe to use, some people just have too sencitive skin to handle it though. Although, I have sensitive skin it still dosn't hert my skin at all. I would recimend if your like me with sensitive skin though, to youse a strong moisterizer because for me it dryes out my skin a little around my nose. However, it's worth the little spots of dry skin because if you use it everyday the pimples just seem to dissapear. But don't youse the proactive moisterizer, its a waist of money, it works for 5 minutes then your face is dry again. What moisterizer works for me is the Neutrogina, Moister Oil Free Sensitive moisterizer. When I first started to youse proactive nothing seemed to happen but within about a month or two my skin was clear. It says to use it twise a day but I only youse it once a day, befor bed, and it still keeps my skin clear. This also reminds me I need to buy some more Proactive, I'm almost out of it.
Just one smile can make someones day better.

All skin products are similar in the sense that if you stop using them your acne problems will come back. As for Proactive specifically,

it depends on your skin type. I have very sensitive skin so it burns my skin, but others with normal skin should be able to use it

without problems. I recommend trying different products until you find one that works for you, but give it a month before you give up

on a product. (And I mean use the product at least once a day.)
