Origami! Do we have some folding fanatics here??

I love origami. It is so amazing how a few simple (or sometimes not-so-simple) folds can turn a plain square of paper into something so beautiful. I have huge jugs and boxes full of things I've folded. Origami keeps me from biting my nails sometimes, so it's almost therapeutic. One of my favorite origami sites is Oriland.com, which has lots of cool diagrams that you can print out. Well, my fellow folding fans, share your thoughts, maybe include a favorite site of yours, or even your favorite thing to fold. Post below.

I have dabbled in origami. Hearing about the 1,000 cranes legend, I went about making cranes with many different patterns of origami papers. Only I stopped after roughly 30 cranes. lol! But they look nice hanging from the office ceiling. =D

    I LOVE ORIGAMI!

    Too bad I'm rusty now.

Can the people here recommend any websites where we may polish our skills?

This one has lots of cute and whimsical models: Oriland.com.
This one has a wonderful database of stuff for any proficiency level: Origami Instructions.com.
And then this place is absolutely insane. It has soooo many diagrams. I don't know if there's any really for beginners, but it has a huge inventory of diagrams for advanced and intermediate folders. There's even a Balrog!! And Star Wars origami!! So here's the site:Origami.com.
    Hope this helps! ^^

This is really wonderful, dudette4475! It's really helpful, and I liked Oriland best. It's colourful!

Don't worry about beginners, I'm no beginner, just rusty; and pretty dexterous (according to my mum, but well...—she's biased).

You know, you seem to be in the same forum topics as I am... I think we'll get along just fine, just fine...

Haha I love origami. It was such a peaceful art XD Right now I'm working on a 1001 gold cranes for my future wedding. It's a local Japanese tradition in Hawaii and they make the cranes into a beautiful artwork.

But I hate making the cranes XD Gold foil is hard to work with!
