You could try making fissh. As long as it's fresh, is surprisingly easy.

I like to use sea bass. Easy peasy recipe for fish and sauce:

    You will need:
    • Fish fillets of your preference.
      .
    • A can of tomato sauce.
      .
    • Garlic.
      .
    • Onion.
      .
    • Salt.
    • Olive oil.
      .
    Procedure:
    1. Salt your fish using olive oil. Olive oils makes the salt stick to it. Do not put too much salt into it, it is just to bring out the flavour.
      .
    2. Cut the garlic and add it to the pan.
      .
    3. Cut the onion and add it to the pan (both garlic and onions should be as small pieces as possible).
      .
    4. Heat up a pan with medium heat.
      .
    5. Add the sauce..
      .
    6. Rinse the can and fill it with water.
      .
    7. Pour the water into the pan (1 and a half cans or at least until you cover your fish).
      .
    8. Let it simmer. Occasionally turn.
      .
    9. When the water is half of it's original content, put the heat on low heat, until the sauce of your preferred consistency forms. (I like it very thick, but my mum likes it more liquid). Remember to let the fish cook for at least 15 minutes, to ensure is well cooked (if there's too little water, just add more).
You can improve the recipe by adding herbs and spices to the sauce. Or cut a chile (you have to cut it by half ad then remove the white vein + the seeds from the inside). Or you can add potatoes and carrots, since the simmering cooks them It's a base recipe very easy to modify.

There's nothing wrong w/ learning how to cook fried stuff. There lots of fried foods I like like mozzarella sticks, onion rings, chedder pepper poppers, popcorn chicken, breaded shrimp...I can go on, but my hands would get tired!
